It is more important than ever to support the emotional well-being of educators. As schools head into Winter Break after continuing to tirelessly serve their schools and communities, BARR Center wants to let you know about a refreshing opportunity with guest speaker Sydney Jensen.

Join us to hear from passionate Educator, Ted Talk Speaker (with more than 2.6 million views), and Doane University Adjunct Professor Sydney Jensen who shares how important it is to be supporting teachers emotionally, as they constantly and compassionately support students. During Jensen’s Ted Talk she addresses a critical question: “How can we support the emotional well-being of our teachers?”

As 2019 Nebraska Teacher of the Year, she will join us and share helpful strategies about the importance of mental, social, and emotional health supports and strategies for students and the teachers who dedicate themselves to serving them.

We are hoping you will join us to get inspired, reflect and focus on the importance of staff-to-staff relationships. We hope to see you there!
