Former West Virginia Governor Bob Wise has spent his career advancing education. After serving 24 years as governor, US Representative, and state legislator. Wise was CEO for the Alliance for Excellent Education, a national nonprofit working to improve high schools. He applies his political experience to working with government and education leaders to gain public support for transforming education. A former chair of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, he is cofounder of the Global Science of Learning Education Network (GSoLEN), advisory board member of the University of California Dyslexia Center, and active with Chartwell School and its Chartwell Teaching Institute in Monterey, CA.
