Chuck Wiger advises BARR on education opportunities and strategic direction. Deeply engaged in education policy and public service, he served for 26 years as a Minnesota state senator, including as chair of Education Finance and Policy. Earlier, he spent 20 years on the North St. Paul–Maplewood–Oakdale School Board, chairing the board for two terms. Chuck continues to contribute to national education conversations as an active member of the Education Commission of the States. He has received numerous awards recognizing his leadership and impact in education. An attorney by training, he also worked for a national financial services company for 25 years.
