Lia Watts joined BARR with 26 years of experience in teaching science and social studies. For the last 7 years of her career, she served as a STEM and STEAM coordinator in a school system, focusing on professional development, coaching, and mentoring teachers. Lia helps schools implement the model through professional development sessions, unlimited virtual coaching, and regular on-site visits. She also works closely with new BARR coaches, providing mentorship to support their growth in their roles.

Outside of work: Lia enjoys teaching adult education classes, baking, spending time with her family, and spending time at the beach.
