Sample U-Time and I-Time Lessons

The BARR system uses eight interlocking strategies that build intentional relationships, utilize real-time data, and enable schools to achieve academic and non-academic outcomes for each and every student.

BARR’s U-Time (grades K-5) and I-Time (grades 6-12) lessons are 30-minute facilitated activities that build intentional relationships – both student-to-student and staff-to-student. Through training and coaching, teachers become skilled at building stronger relationships with their students and collecting real-time data such as student strengths, sparks, and connections in school.
