Events are a critical engagement tool to empower educators as they connect across the country. We provide several opportunities each year for networking, professional development opportunities and supportive engagements from our team. We are continually providing an increasing number of experiences that will be updated on this page to help support educators as best as we can.

Some things are just better together. As more International Baccalaureate (IB) Schools are implementing the BARR (Building Assets, Reducing Risks) model, we are seeing more evidence of increased success in student growth and academic achievement. Why? Because BARR:

  • Builds positive intentional relationships between teacher and student as well as teacher to teacher in order to truly understand the potential and motivations of every student in a strengths- and team-based way.
  • Drives the right conversations, decisions and interventions using relevant data to ensure that every student has the opportunity to achieve their true potential.

West Virginia Schools: Coming Back Stronger Than Ever with BARR

It’s a busy time and you may have missed our recent webinar on how BARR (Building Assets, Reducing Risks) is helping West Virginia schools come back stronger than ever to address post-pandemic challenges such as learning loss, mental health issues, risky behaviors, substance use, and social-emotional learning. BARR is one of the most researched and proven education models in the nation, in more than 180 schools, including Nitro High School in West Virginia.

Join BARR at our annual National Conference where over 500+ educators and administrators come together to learn, connect and empower each other.

BARR hosts monthly PLC’s for BARR teachers and administrators. PLC’s are designed to provide time to connect and learn from other BARR educators, share successes and stay up to date on the latest resources and strategies being utilized across the country.
